OnCloud Browser Extension

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 June 2026

OnCloud Browser Extension is built privacy-first. The extension runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data, and there are no analytics, trackers, or remote servers behind the tools you use.

Who we are

OnCloud Browser Extension ("the extension", "we") is a browser extension developed and maintained by Waddah Al Raisi. This policy explains how the extension handles information. If you have questions, contact us at the address in the Contact section below.

Our core principle

Everything you create or configure in OnCloud Browser Extension — notes, sessions, saved items, settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your own device using your browser's built-in storage. This data never leaves your computer and is never sent to us or to any third party.

What we collect

Nothing. Specifically, OnCloud Browser Extension does not:

Where your data lives

OnCloud Browser Extension stores your tool data in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB, on your device only. You stay in control: clearing the extension's data, or removing the extension, removes that data. We have no copy of it because it is never sent to us.

Permissions and why they are used

The extension requests only the permissions its browsing tools need to work. Each is used locally, on your device, to deliver a feature you actively use:

activeTab / scripting
Lets tools act on the page you are currently viewing — only when you trigger them. Used by tools like Tab Notes and the element tools.
storage
Saves your settings and tool data locally on your device.
tabs / sidePanel
Opens the side panel and manages tabs for tools like Window Sessions.
declarativeNetRequest
Powers the on-device ad blocker. Filtering happens locally; no browsing data is sent anywhere.
proxy / webRequest
Used only by the optional Manual Proxy feature, which routes your browser through a proxy endpoint you provide. Your credentials are stored encrypted on your device and are never sent to us.
contextMenus
Adds right-click actions for tools you have enabled.
clipboardWrite
Lets you copy generated content (such as passwords or QR codes) to your clipboard.
offscreen
Used by Capture & Record to process media locally on your device.
notifications / alarms
Shows local notifications and schedules timers for tools that need them.

Network connections

The browsing tools work offline and do not phone home. The only outbound connections are ones you explicitly initiate — for example, the optional Manual Proxy connecting to a proxy endpoint you configure, or a tool fetching public information you requested (such as checking your own IP address). OnCloud Browser Extension adds no hidden network calls.

Children's privacy

OnCloud Browser Extension does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the extension evolves — for example, if optional features that connect to a service are introduced in the future. Any such feature will be clearly described and will require your explicit opt-in. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change.
